Proud to Support KCA & FDOT on the I-275 Pavement Evaluation Project!

We were proud to support KCA and FDOT on the I-275 pavement evaluation project!

Our team, led by Danilo Balzarini, Ph.D. deployed advanced tech to collect high-resolution pavement data across all lanes plus ramps in each direction along a 6-mile stretch of I-275 in St. Petersburg, Florida.

  • Iris Pro Pave & Profiler – for ride quality
  • LCMS-2 – full 3D pavement condition, distresses & faulting
  • INS with GNSS+IMU – high-accuracy geo-positioning

Key highlights:

  • Collected data on all lanes and ramps
  • Tied datasets together using our unique stitching feature + FDOT-provided slab layer
  • Evaluated and reported pavement distresses slab-by-slab
  • Used FDOT Design Standards to recommend repairs for each slab

Deliverables included:

  • Stitched, full coverage images – no more boots on the ground = safer evaluations
  • Slab-by-slab repair list – CAD-ready
  • Full geodatabase of all distresses & repairs

Great work by the team—bringing clarity and efficiency to complex infrastructure decisions!
