We were proud to support KCA and FDOT on the I-275 pavement evaluation project!
Our team, led by Danilo Balzarini, Ph.D. deployed advanced tech to collect high-resolution pavement data across all lanes plus ramps in each direction along a 6-mile stretch of I-275 in St. Petersburg, Florida.
- Iris Pro Pave & Profiler – for ride quality
- LCMS-2 – full 3D pavement condition, distresses & faulting
- INS with GNSS+IMU – high-accuracy geo-positioning
Key highlights:
- Collected data on all lanes and ramps
- Tied datasets together using our unique stitching feature + FDOT-provided slab layer
- Evaluated and reported pavement distresses slab-by-slab
- Used FDOT Design Standards to recommend repairs for each slab
Deliverables included:
- Stitched, full coverage images – no more boots on the ground = safer evaluations
- Slab-by-slab repair list – CAD-ready
- Full geodatabase of all distresses & repairs
Great work by the team—bringing clarity and efficiency to complex infrastructure decisions!
