Clearwater, FL – is pleased to announce that can now process data from ARAN collection vehicles. The landmark capability to process data from third-party collection equipment was introduced earlier in 2021, starting with support for data from Dynatest RSP profilers and Dynatest MFV multi-function vehicles. This latest enhancement adds support for the Fugro Roadware ARAN 9000 platform. Support for more types of data collection vehicles will continue to be added in the future.
The screenshot above shows data collected by an ARAN 9000 equipped with a Roadware profiler, LCMS-2, POS/LV IMU, GPS, and Sony right-of-way camera. The raw data has been imported and fully processed in Connect™.
More agencies can now take advantage of the efficient processing and unique features of on their projects, reducing the effort and time required to summarize road condition data and import it into their preferred Pavement Management System (PMS). The processing of LCMS-2 data is orders of magnitude faster, new distress classification options are available, and reporting is easier to set up and manage.
How is this possible when each vendor has proprietary file formats?
Connect’s architecture allows for the mapping of any data source to its well-known data structures. During the data importation process, the software loads the data from the third-party file formats into the data structure and from there can work with the data as normal.
With , users of non-ICC data collection equipment can gain powerful new data analysis and reporting capabilities without upgrading hardware. For example, users can immediately begin processing LCMS data in the cloud even if existing software does not support this. Also, ICC’s robust pattern cracking detection is included, which is proven to increase repeatability of condition data. Additionally, includes the ability to draw simple or complex distresses to meet certain customer requirements for creating highly accurate reference data sets, as is often needed to meet state Data Quality Management Plan (DQMP) requirements. Finally, supports validation site data processing including comparisons of multiple runs on the same sites, making the DQMP process easier to manage.
Note: This development is independent of any formal collaboration between ICC and third-party equipment vendors.
