New York, NY – The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey (PANYNJ) operates and manages numerous facilities in support of the transportation of people and goods, including numerous bridges and tunnels. As part of its proactive pavement management program, the PANYNJ measures various pavement conditions, including friction, to make effective maintenance decisions for this critical infrastructure. Continuing a long partnership with Applied Pavement Technology, Inc, the Prime Contractor, this year, ICC gathered friction data from pavements in the Lincoln Tunnel and Holland Tunnel in New York City, NY.
