Largo, FL – has been awarded the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) 2022 Statewide Data Collection for Pavement Management contract. This project will cover roughly 10,825 lane miles of state and county roads throughout the state of Wyoming.
ICC’s , which uses industry-leading subsystems and sensors, and ICC’s professional transportation data technicians will capture pavement condition data on Wyoming’s state road network. For WYDOT, meeting Federal reporting requirements and creating near-term, as well as future maintenance and rehabilitation plans, is important for its users and stakeholders, which makes pavement data capture a critical task. To support such analysis and decision-making, international roughness index (IRI), rutting, cracking, faulting, texture, right-of-way (ROW) images, and geometric data will be collected. ICC’s software will process and tie the data together and in addition, will also be used for data visualization and reporting. WYDOT staff will have access to current and historical condition data and imagery through Inform, ICC’s web-based viewing tool.
Ensuring quality data allows WYDOT to optimize maintenance planning, by analyzing and making decisions on the best treatments and the most appropriate times to apply, leading to improved user experience, higher road safety, and optimal funding allocation. Quality control measures, detailed in WYDOT’s customized Data Quality Management Plan (DQMP), will be executed to ensure proper equipment calibration and verification procedures are maintained for the duration of testing for the network-level project.
