Meet Chris, our Southeast Client Services Manager, whose approach to business is as fresh and engaging as his personality.
When he’s not chasing down the next big client, he’s literally running—around the globe, that is. With four World Major Marathons under his belt, Chris is well on his way to earning his 6-Star runner status (Tokyo and Boston, we’re looking at you!). And when he’s not logging miles on the pavement, you can probably find him hunting down the best taco truck in town or cracking a joke that leaves the whole room laughing. So, let’s dive into what makes Chris such a unique and valuable part of the ICC-IMS team!
What do you think makes you unique as an ICC/IMS team member?
Coming into the industry as an “outsider” gave me a fresh perspective. It’s allowed me to approach challenges differently and bring new ideas to the table.
Do you follow any sports teams?
Yes, I’m a big Boston Red Sox fan!
Do you play any sports? Are you a runner? A yogi? Do tell!
I’m actually a 4 Star World Major Marathon runner. Right now, I’m on a mission to become a 6-star runner by completing the Tokyo and Boston Marathons.
How do you think your role has helped shape our team’s culture?
I think my approach to client outreach has played a role in shaping how we engage with our clients. Let’s just say “Doughnuts & Discovery” has become somewhat legendary!
What’s something that you’ve always wanted to try or learn?
I’ve always wanted to learn how to play the guitar. My grandfather played the banjo, and it’s something I wish I’d learned from him before he passed.
What do you enjoy most about working at ICC/IMS?
The startup feel at ICC-IMS is what I love most. It’s an environment where new ideas are encouraged, and collaboration is always happening.
How do you like to structure your day?
From 8am-10am, I focus on existing customer outreach. From 10am-12pm, I dive into ongoing projects. The afternoons are for calls, LinkedIn content, and researching new client opportunities.
What methods or tools do you use to stay organized?
I live and die by my calendar.
What is your favorite food?
Tacos and cookies! I’m constantly searching for the best taco truck or cookie bakery in every city I visit.
If you could pick any superpower, what would it be and why?
Invisibility, obviously! I could travel and live anywhere in the world for free!
What languages do you speak?
I speak just enough French and Spanish to survive if I’m suddenly teleported to a country where they’re spoken!
